St Giles Street Party

/ / Community, News

It was great to be a part of the St Giles Big Street Party on Sunday 11th June on Village Street in Derby which was held in celebration of the Queen’s Birthday. Artcore was involved along with other local community groups.

The street party brought together the community, with music and food, with a local band playing and creative activities such as flag making, painting your own mugs and face painting bringing families together with creative arts.

There was a positive community atmosphere were children thrived through the activities of offer.

A big thanks to St Giles Church for all their efforts and our volunteers for helping out on the day.

We have more children’s workshops in our Creative Summer Club themed around Animals; with the Lego Club on the 26th July, and other workshops such as clay work, arts and crafts, street art, science theme art activities, make your own board game, textiles and more. Dates to be announced soon.
