The Web of Water art exhibition opened with the launch on Saturday 31st May 2014 at Carsington Water. The artworks are created by artists from the East Midlands and India, and they have portrayed their perspectives about the use/misuse of Water and its critical importance on Earth. The Carsington Water is a popular visitor attraction run by Severn Trent Water, located a short distance from the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. The artist works were complimented greatly by all who came to the exhibition. The idea to bring an art exhibition to a non-gallery venue like this brought a variety of audience to take part and also bring awareness of such topical issue ‘WATER’ and its traditions and how it affects people across the globe.
We would like to thank all the artists and the guests who were able to attend the launch.
This touring exhibition is travelling next to the Curve in Leicester from 16th June 2014.
