Artcore community studios are open to all ages and abilities. Learn new skills in a creative environment, make friends and most of all enjoy yourself. Explore a variety of mediums and techniques: Clay Modelling, Jewellery, Painting, Block Printing, Sandcasting, Mosaic, Sculpture, Wood Carving, Plaster Carving, Traditional Indian Crafts (Lipan, Rangoli, Warli), Pottery (including pottery wheel).
Artcore offers regular art activities catered to your personal interests exploring a variety of visual arts mediums. These sessions are aimed at people with physical, mental or learning difficulties who have access to personalised budgets. Artcore was at Peartree library on Saturday 14th December, delivering the final session for 2013 project where they set up lantern making workshop. Members of the community took part in it and made impressive Lanterns. After the workshop all the artwork was displayed and illuminated the surrounding space.
As part of The Web of Water project we had an event on Saturday 7th December, 11am until 1pm at Artcore. There were talks by the members of the Derby and Sandiacre Canal Trust and Society, which was followed by a creative watercolor activity for the community members. A big Thank you to the Derby
