Our project “Games People Play” involves art exhibitions and workshops on the broad idea of sports and games and at a deeper level of the ways people handle relationships. The innovative project is planned mainly in two phases running over one year – Exhibitions by English and Indian artists “Games People Play” (Phase 1) and
The project was organized by Artcore, and funded by the Arts Council, Derby City Council, Igniting Ambition, Creative Innovation and European Regional Developmental Fund. This unique gallery space at East Midlands Airport has a footfall of five million passengers each year. This East Midlands Airport scheme allows artists to showcase their work in an exciting and innovative space, identifying local talent and displaying it for passengers’ enjoyment.
After two successful shows, Artcore in collaboration with The ICCA, are proud to bring the international exhibition “Games People Play” at The ICCA. The exhibition opened on the 26th January 2012 at 11.00 am. The show will remain open until 27th April 2012, and open for viewing Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 5.00pm and Friday
Games People Play Exhibition opened at Embrace Arts in Leicester. At the preview party audiences viewed the artwork from artists in the UK and India, and explored the diverse perspectives expressed on the theme of sports and games.
