On Sunday 28th June 2015, the Artcore team were in Leicester delivering art workshops for the finale of the ‘An Indian Summer’ festival.
Every year for the last 5 years the festival has ran for several days, with various events, activities and live performances on each day over course of the festival. It has been great to be a part of this festival since the last few years.
Participants took part in creating traditional Indian Block Printing and Lipan artworks. The block printing involved participants making patterns with printings blocks which came from India. The lipan activity is a traditional craft from the central western part of India.
Participants could take home the work that they created on the day.
The session was from 12-5.
We were kept busy all day in the LCB Depot by a constant flow of enthusiastic participants. It was great fun for all involved.
