On the 2nd of May, Artcore visited Village Primary School to deliver a workshop to a group of their pupils so they could take part in the Web of Water project. The group was varied, aged from 7 – 11.
After we gave the kids a brief about the project, telling them some facts on water and providing them with some information on Graphic Novels – the art medium they’d be basing their pieces on – the children got to work straight away with interest and enthusiasm, each coming up with a brilliant idea for the project.
One idea a pupil thought of was the Amazon River becoming polluted from the rubbish being dropped by the tourists. Another pupil painted a story of a fish making a new home in somebody’s sink because the water they were living in became too dirty.
All the children enjoyed the workshop while creating great pieces of work, and we would like to thank Village Primary School for taking part in the Web of Water project. We would also love to the see the students take part in projects with us again in the near future.
