Innocence and Expression Programme 1 – 2014

As part of Artcore’s Innocence and Expression project, children aged 8-18 have had the opportunity to work in a variety of visual art forms, including individual activities and crafts as well as a larger group pieces of artwork. This is a BBC Children in Need funded project. The sessions were held during term time, every Saturday, giving the children a chance to get involved with something constructive at the weekend as well as giving them the opportunity to explore their artistic side and work in a variety of mediums, such as papier mache, Rangoli, block printing and even a professionally guided well dressing activity.

As a final part of this project, the culmination of various artistic mediums such the papier mache figurines, the block printed patterns and the larger group well dressing were combined to create a group piece and will be displayed as part of the Web of Water project at the Derby Feste at Deda on the 27th July 2014.
